|Goodman Covered Bridge,
AKA the Hobart Covered Bridge,
is no longer standing … it crossed Salt Creek in Section 28,
Township 7 North, and Range 1 West,
Clear Creek Township, Monroe County.
This single span Howe Truss structure had a length of 100 feet, or 112
feet including the 6-foot overhang at each end. Built in 1881 by Thomas
A. Hardman, this bridge received its name from the fact that it was built
over Goodman Ford.
This Covered Bridge was listed as #14-53-04 in the World Guide
(according to G. Gould's 1977 list) and was removed in 1964 as part of
the Monroe Reservoir project.
